Buckwise is an Italian Dream Pop and IDM project active since 2018. Following their debut album, Turning Point (La Rivolta Records, 2019), which blended indie-folk and electro, the band evolved their style towards a more mature and refined indietronica. Today, their sound stands out for its synthetic orchestrations, driving rhythms, and dreamlike atmospheres, accompanied by introspective English lyrics that take the listener on a deep emotional journey.
Meeting Francesco Cerasi, a soundtrack composer for major productions (Amazon Prime Video, BBC, Rai, Sky Cinema), marked a turning point for Buckwise, leading them to sign with his label, Bonimba. The following year, the band joined the roster of the independent collective Dischi Uappissimi. These synergies gave rise to new, critically acclaimed singles and pushed their live performances beyond national borders. They have performed at numerous European festivals (in Estonia, Greece, Bosnia, France, and Bulgaria) and taken to prestigious stages such as Ypsigrock and TEDx Barletta, eventually sharing the scene with artists of the caliber of Explosions in the Sky, Ermal Meta, and Santi Francesi.
In late 2024, Buckwise released their second studio album, NEON (Dischi Uappissimi/Bonimba, dist. Artist First). Through intense soundscapes and evocative lyrics, the record acts as an immersive journey that explores the inexorable flow of time, merging personal experiences with the universal human condition.
In April 2026, the band’s artistic path was further enriched with the release of their new track, Astra. The song was chosen to enhance the soundtrack of Residence Hammamet, a highly acclaimed, multi-award-winning documentary nominated for the prestigious David di Donatello awards.
